2025 Manhattan Cup Kick Off Campaign

2025 Manhattan Cup Kick Off Campaign

This past weekend at The NJ Saltwater Fishing Expo in Edison, NJ the kickoff for the 2025 Manhattan Cup campaign started off in full swing. Committee members Captain Frank Crescitelli, Gary Caputi, along with Sergeant (ret.) Robert Gil Jr. greeted dozens of past Cup participants and made plenty of new friends eager to get involved in this year’s event. Booth 518 was electric all three days with giveaways thanks to the generosity of Quantum Fishing, a returning sponsor along with Jigging World. Past Champion, USAF Veteran Rich Torres was also on hand sharing the thrills, mission, and hope The Manhattan cup delivers year after year.

Since 2001, on an early June Friday, the full force of what the passion for fishing and what it’s capable of comes alive in the waters surrounding New York City. Dozens of post combat veterans join the ranks of the best captains, anglers, and generous sponsors to experience a day of fishing and camaraderie like no other. Friday June 6, 2025, will be no different at Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City.

Our committee members, volunteers, sponsors, and staff of our host at Liberty Landing are a dream team of dedicated individuals that work year-round to make each year better than the last. This year is no different, other than the addition of new sponsors, teams of anglers, and brave warriors that have yet to experience a day with us.

If you’ve fished with us in the past, welcome back!! Please be sure to register as an angler or captain on our registration page.

If you haven’t fished with us and are thinking about it, here’s the scoop.

For captains, donate your time and boat to take out a team of anglers for the day. You supply the bait and tackle and make the day work as we get bigger each year! We’ll supply the swag bags, breakfast, lunch, and a great party back at Liberty Landing.

For Anglers, register now in teams of 2-4 in our Platinum level which accommodates 4 people or Light Tackle which is a team of two. Targeting striped bass and bluefish in a catch and release format, award categories are for bait, fly, and artificials for both the angler and captain for the largest fish in each category. Individual anglers are welcome, and we can always find a team happy to have you.

It’s going to be a special day. Join us! You can reach out to Mike Dean at 917-873-6651 or mdean329@gmail.com for more details. See you June 6th!
